Earning a top five-star safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the Kia Sorento proved itself to be one of the safest SUVs on the road. Backing up the NHTSA’s rating, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety named the latest Kia Sorento the Top Safety Pick+ list. Equipped with the highest grade of safety technology in the industry, the Sorento makes it way to the top of the segment.

For the 2017 model year, standard safety equipment includes six airbags, antilock brakes, electronic stability control, and vehicle stability management. Additional safety equipment includes more advanced systems. Blind-Spot Detection, Forward Collision Warning, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, and Autonomous Emergency Braking top the list.

When equipped with Autonomous Emergency Braking, the Kia Sorento earned a top Superior rating in the front crash prevention test. In all, the SUV avoided collisions at 12 mph and 25 mph.

As for technology, the Kia Sorento comes stocked with plenty of assistive technologies like a Surround View Monitor and Advance Smart Cruise Control.
In terms of entertainment, the Sorento includes Clari-Fi Audio that makes music sound richer than ever before. Combined with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, accessing your smartphone is easy.
